Bio

Dilin Liu teaches English grammar, language acquisition, and language pedagogy. His research and publications focus on grammar and lexis, especially corpus-based description and teaching of grammar and vocabulary. He has also published on topics regarding discourse analysis, language and culture, pedagogy, and teacher education.

Liu has served on the editorial boards of various international journals in applied linguistics, such as English Language Teaching Journal (2001-2004), TESOL Quarterly (2005-2008)TESOL Journal (2009-2016), Asian-Pacific Journal of Second and Foreign Language Education (2015-), Journal of  English for Academic Purposes (2019-), Journal of Second Language Studies (2017-), International Journal of Lexicography (2021-), Lingua (2017-), and System (2020-), as well as a reviewer for over twenty linguistics journals and publishers including Applied Linguistics, Applied Psycholinguistics, Corpus Linguistics and Linguistic theory, English for Specific Purposes, International Journal of Corpus Linguistics, International Journal of Lexicography, Journal of English Linguistics, Journal of Pragmatics, Language Learning, Language Teaching Research, Modern Language journal, Second Language Research, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, System, Cambridge University Press, Palgrave McMillan, and Routledge. Currently, he is also Co-Editor of Heliyon Education (an open-access journal published by Cell Press/Elsevier) in charge of handling submissions on applied linguistics/language education.
