Chris Koester earned his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2015. He specializes in early modern poetry, in particular, the poetry of John Milton. His research interests include Milton's understandings of solitude, singularity, number, and chaos. In addition to Milton, he also studies early modern women writers, primarily Margaret Cavendish and Lucy Hutchinson. His publications include a forthcoming article in Milton Studies.
