Melissa Vaughan assists students with EN 500- and 600-level course registration questions and issues. She builds the schedule of graduate courses each term, compiles course descriptions, and coordinates the advising process for graduate students in the English Department.
Melissa helps with graduate program admission processes by tracking applications in the Graduate School’s online system, sending offer letters, and preparing human resources paperwork for admitted students. She verifies background check completion and Form I-9 documentation for English Department graduate students. She is Assistant to the Graduate Coordinator, sharing responsibilities such as planning prospective and admitted student visits.
Melissa is also the backup Building Representative for English Building and backup Technology Coordinator for the English Department. She joined the UA Department of English in 2014 as Front Office Coordinator and started her current position in 2021.
