The Community and Communications Committee

The Community and Communications committee works to improve the department by identifying areas of need and fostering strengthened relationships among the constituencies within the Department of English. In collaboration with the chair, the committee also ensures the endeavors by all members of the department and its broader community are available, promoted, and recognized through the department’s faculty meetings, committee reports, and social media accounts.

Teacher Community Caucus

The TCC is open to all instructors and TAs in the UA English community who aim to support or desire the support of their colleagues. The TCC provides an academic and social space for interested individuals and seeks to supplement the resources and opportunities provided through the Department, College, and University.

African American Literature Research Group

The AALRG is a group of grad students and faculty who are interested in research and creative activity centered on African American literature and culture. The group discusses professional development, reads each other’s work, and provides mentorship in the discipline.
