H. Austin Whitver is a full-time instructor at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He is currently revising the tentatively titled Monumental Theater: Tombs in Shakespearean Drama, a study of the rhetorical function of tombs and monuments on the early modern stage. He has published articles in Studies in English Literature: 1500 – 1900 and Journal for Early Modern Cultural Studies and is a yearly contributor to the Shakespeare Association of America conference.
