Bio

Courtney Parker earned BAs in Theater and English from Huntingdon College and UAB. She completed her MA in English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University in 2015, and earned her PhD in English from the Hudson Strode Program in Renaissance Studies at the University of Alabama in 2022. Her teaching and research interests include sixteenth- and seventeenth-century English drama and popular literature, Milton, gender and sexuality studies, ghost stories, and the American Civil War.
