Jennifer Fuqua coordinates the English Department’s various graduate programs and assists with prospective student admission questions. She serves as the department’s primary liaison between the Graduate School and graduate students, as well as between the Graduate School and the department’s program directors. She maintains UA academic and employment records for students in English graduate programs, and processes graduate student payroll and tuition grants. Jennifer also manages financial processes involving graduate student awards, travel, contests, scholarships, and fellowships.

As Graduate Coordinator, Jennifer arranges travel and schedules prospective and admitted student visits. She assists directors with planning graduate student events and programming, coordinates and proctors preliminary and comprehensive exams, and facilitates graduate advising and defense scheduling.

Jennifer joined the UA Department of English in 2008. She worked as Undergraduate Coordinator until 2012, then as Assistant to Graduate Studies until 2014, when she accepted her current position.
